Probably one of the best BMW and Benz mechanics in the Asheville area. Val is an absolute master of these cars, super clean shop, knows his stuff like nobody’s business and explains everything in his wonderful Romanian accent! His attention to detail is superb and I’ve never doubted his honesty once in 11 years of working on my cars, they always run like a top under his care.

Brought my van to Val for a wheel alignment after finding Import Auto Performance through a Google search and WOW am I impressed. The shop is super clean and Val is meticulous and precise, and just kept at it until the alignment was perfect. I do almost all maintenance myself and rarely let any shop work on my vehicles, but I trust Val to do it right and wouldn't hesitate to come back again.

I highly recommend Val! We are from Oregon and while on vacation to the Smokey mountain National park our Sprinter van lost power and went into limp mode. So when I called the Mercedes dealer they said they don’t work on 2010 models and sent me to Val. Boy am I glad they did. He not only got us back on our road trip but he took the time to explain everything and genuinely wanted to make sure we made our 2700 mile trip home safely. Thank you again Val. You could tell he runs a great business with integrity.

Val has worked on on my trusty old Mercedes Sprinter Van for more than five years now. While sometimes the final bill is more than I thought it would be, more often it is less than anticipated. He did a magnificent job rebuilding my fuel injection system. The final bill was less than I anticipated He is very sympathetic to his customers and tries extremely hard to keep them happy. My office is more than a mile away from his shop and I can't remember how many dozen times he gave me a lift to my office down busy Hendersonville Road AND THEN picked me up to retrieve my van at his garage. He is generally a very positive person and, as a business owner myself, I freely give Import Auto Performance the highest possible recommendation.

This is a well run business that knows how to deliver. Val took care of my BMW X3 oil leaks at a reasonable price, and completed the job on time. My car was returned as clean as it came in and drove excellent. This is why I returned recently for new brake rotors and pads. Received the same reliability as before. Thanks Val for providing a dependable business!
